Dark and Romantic Tutorial

Check out my New Look:

Make up that's easy, sexy and romantic. A good look for whenever you're going on a date or feeling risky.

  • Eye Shadow: BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 2nd Edition
  • Lip Liner: Wet n Wild #662 Fuchsia
  • Lipstick: I can't remember what brand this is. There is no label on it.
  • Eye Liner Pencil: Makeup For Ever Aqua Eyes Mat Black 0L
  • Liquid Eye Liner: NYC Liquid Eye Liner #888 Pearlized Black
  • Mascara: Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara

(Don't worry too much about what I am using. You will be fine just trying to match the colors from whatever eye shadow palettes you have.)

Dark Roses

Step 1)
Place some scotch tape under the eyes to avoid a mess. (check my previous blog post on scotch tape if you're confused).

Step 2)
You need a Dark Brown with a tint of red. Apply this on eyelids only.

Step 3)
Use a Dark Red and apply it right over the Dark Brown. Blend it onto the eye creases.

Step 4)
Apply a Bright Red right in the middle of eyelids.

Step 5)
Apply more of the same Dark Brown from earlier for the outer corners and blend out for a cat-like shape. Also blend onto the creases.

Step 6)
Highlight the inner corners of your eyes with a Glittery White eye shadow. Apply Bright Red along the bottom lash line. Almost done! :]

Step 7)
Now remove the scotch tape.
Using only a small amount, apply Black eye shadow on the outer corners. Try not to make a mess.

Step 8)
Line the lips with red lipliner and fill them in to increase lipstick staying power. Highlight your brow bone with the Glittery White to pull the look together.

Step 9)
Apply Black pencil eyeliner.

Step 10)
Now use a Black liquid liner on the outer corners only to create wings! Just draw along the eye shadow. Be very careful. ;)
Here is a more detailed photo for those people that like HIGH DEFINITION. Look at my little hairs. You guys are gross. :P

Step 11)
Finish off your look with a nice Dark Red lipstick and a mascara of your choice!
(I chose to not include blush for this look because I feel there are enough rosy tones. I also like the pale Vampire-feel to it. Feel free to try it though. Let me know how that works.)

And we're done! Congratulations, you've got Dark Roses down. I hope you've enjoyed my little tutorial and if you have any questions feel free to ask! I am here to help.
