My Skincare

My skin is Combination and Sensitive with an Oily T-zone.

Summer Routine:
Right away you can see all I use is Mario Badescu. If you've never heard about this brand before you're missing out. Mario Badescu is a very well known spa right here in New York City. They have practically every beauty product imaginable except for makeup. These products also WORK really well. They have products for every kind of skin and give all sort of treatments.  Several celebrities have been seen here and even become regulars including Jennifer Aniston and Martha Stewart.

Unfortunately some of these products are known to be a bit pricey but lucky for you guys I'm selling Mario Badescu on Ebay for fair prices. Your purchases will always include several FREE samples as a thanks for being my customer. ;) Go check out my store!

A) Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion (For Combination+Oily)
This is my regular toner. Its very soothing and it feels good just putting it on. I actually enjoy putting this toner on, its pretty funny. It also smells good. ;) Just this by itself manages to soften my skin without even putting my moisturizer on yet. Most of all, it does help with my acne. I see a difference whenever I choose to skip my toner and I always regret it. This really makes my skin look great. 10/10

Description: Refreshing, disinfecting and deep cleaning astringent that is effective in drying up existing acne blemishes while preventing new eruptions. Sulfur and soothing Cucumber help to fight against oily build-up and bacteria that can cause acne.

Directions: Apply to a cotton ball/pad and wipe skin in an outward direction until cotton comes up clean. Avoid eye area. Use twice daily after cleansing.
Ingredients: Deionized Water (Aqua), Isopropyl Alcohol, Sodium Sulfate, Cucumber (Cucumis Sativa Fruit) Extract, Nonoxyinol-9.

B) Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser (For Combination+Oily)
My regular facial cleanser. :] This stuff is amazing. My skin can get a bit red when I use rough cleansers. This is very soft, light and keeps my skin as pale as I like it (Hah). It also keeps the acne off my face without drying it out. It does not take my eye makeup off completely but I think if it was strong enough to, it wouldn't be as good for my skin. Besides, makeup remover is important. 10/10

Description: Prevent and heal acne with this exfoliating and deep cleansing wash. Formulated with acne-fighting Salicylic Acid. Contains Aloe Vera and Chamomile, natural ingredients that calm and soothe acne inflamed skin.

Directions: Massage gently in circular motions on wet skin and rinse thoroughly.
Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Deionized Water (Aqua), Salicylic Acid, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Aloe Vera (Barbadensis Leaf) Gel, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) Extract, Chamomile (Chamomillla Recutitia) Extract, Triethanolamine, Propylene Glycol.

C) Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17 (For Combination+Oily+Sensitive)
My regular moisturizer. Creamy and really gives my skin a lot of moisture without allowing my skin to become oily at all. I've always had a huge problem with oily skin and this is my solution. After use, my skin is perfectly soft and comfortable. Also helps with any sort of redness that is left and to make this even better, Mario Badescu has included sun protection. 10/10

Description: Simple, fragrance free, lightweight daily moisture for oily and problem skin with added sun protection to keep scarring and discoloration to a minimum.

Directions: After cleansing and toning, apply before sun exposure and daily all over face, avoiding eye area. Re-apply frequently to maintain protection and after perspiring or swimming. May be used under make-up or alone.
Ingredients: Deionized Water, Parsol MCX,Cetyl Alcohol, Titanium Dioxide,Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Myristyl Lactate, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Propylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea.

D) Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion (For Combination+Oily)
Part of my 'before-bed' routine, this stuff is SUPER EFFECTIVE. It smells absolutely terrible but it works and is very milky. I use a cotton to apply it and it dries quickly. I do not use this nor the rest of my acne products every night because it can dry up your skin a bit but only a bit. I only use this when I feel I need to. Maybe 3 times a week. I do really love this stuff though, just like the rest of my skincare. :P Apparently you can use this for chest or back acne but I have never needed to try that so I can't say if that works. I wouldn't doubt it does. If anyone is willing to try that or already has, feel free to let me know. It would be mucho appreciated. ;) 10/10

Description: Specifically designed to treat large, deep, cystic acne, the Buffering Lotion covers large erupted areas for overall treatment. Formulated with nourishing B vitamins and amino acids for healthy skin as well as soothing anti-inflammatory herbal extracts to promote healing. Reduce cystic acne fast with this deep penetrating, fast absorbing formula.

Directions: Shake bottle until white sediment is completely dissolved, apply solution to areas of cystic breakout with clean fingertips. Use nightly on affected areas.
Ingredients: Deionized Water,Isopropyl Alcohol,Sodium Sulfate, Zinc Oxide,Hydrolyzed Serum Protein, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein,Pyridoxine, Niacinamide, Panthenol,Propylene Glycol, Allantoin, Biotin.

E) Mario Badescu Drying Cream (For ALL)
Another 'before-bed' product. This stuff is very creamy and smells bad, although not as bad as the buffering lotion, and also very effective. It dries and leaves a sort of smooth texture on your skin. The color is skin-toned and although the product says it can be worn during the day I would not recommend it. It does not become "invisible" on your skin no matter how much you rub it in and it is too cake-y to wear makeup with. This product is great but not really needed for someone who owns both the buffering lotion and drying lotion. Regardless I enjoy the smoothness so I will continue the use. I put it on last to cover up the stickier acne products. Great for falling asleep with. I use this about 5 times a week. I would say definitely buy this if you aren't the Combination+Oily Type. 9/10

Description: An effective treatment to dry up small under-surface blemishes that appear as raised bumps in oily areas of skin. Aloe rich cream cream conceals and heals erupted pimples.

Directions: Apply sparingly to problem areas day or night. Blend with fingertip until invisible.
Ingredients: Deionized water (Aqua), Zinc Oxide, Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice), Gel, Cetyl Alcohol, Lemon, (Citrus Medica Limonum) Extract, Colloidal Sulfur, Ervol, Octyl Palmitate, Ichthammol, Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide, Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylane Glycol.

F) Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (For ALL)
This is Mario Badescu's most famous item and the best acne spot treatment I've ever tried. It does also smell bad and strong but it does not irritate the skin which is a huge plus! It works fast and you will see a difference after a night of wearing it. DO NOT expect a miracle and think this is going to erase your pimples in a night. Continue your use of the Mario Badescu products and your skin will clear up quick and stay that way. Patience is important. This will not disappoint and you will see some sort of sign that it is working right away. I use this about 5 times a week. 10/10

Description: This excellent spot treatment is made with a blend of Calamine and Salicylic Acid to clear up and soothe unsightly whiteheads. A dab of this lotion will heal and dry pimples overnight.

Directions: Dip a cotton swab into pink sediment. Dab on pimple and let dry. Wash off solution in the morning. Do not shake.
Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Deionized Water (Aqua), Calamine, Camphor, Colloidal Sulfur, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc.
